| Application Procedure |
- The prospective resident or the host faculty member should contact the Mukaijima Gakusei Center to check room availability.
- Obtain an application form directly from the Mukaijima Gakusei Center.
- Complete the application form and submit it to the Mukaijima Gakusei Center.
Note: The application form includes a section titled "For Affiliated Institution". This section must be completed by the host faculty member, not by the prospective resident. The "Affiliated Institution Approval Seal" should bear the personal seal (hanko) of the host faculty member.

- Apartment Lease Guarantor
- Short term stay (more than 1 month and less than 3 months): Guarantor is required.
- Middle or long term stay (more than 3 months): Using the designated guarantee company is required.
- Please ask the Mukaijima Gakusei Center directly for more details.

- Deposit for 2 months rent is required.

- UR Renting Houses are one type of apartment-style housing and communal residential sites supplied by the Urban Renaissance Agency.

Kyoto University concluded a framework agreement with the UR Renaissance Agency and has been able to
offer the special residential space to the universities’ international students and researchers as

| Eligibility |
- The minimum duration of residence is one year.
- Enrolment for fire insurance is required.
- Deposit for 1 month rent is required.
- When contact, the staff of faculty you belong to is requested to be accompanied.

- Air conditioner, gas stove, lighting equipment and curtains are available.
- Room sharing is negotiable.
- When your move-in is decided, you need to ask the International Service office to issue the recommendation letter. The letter would be sent directly to UR Linkage from the service office.
